Bosnian Court confirmed Indictment charging Milomir Savcic with Genocide

On 13 January 2020, the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina confirmed the Indictment charging the accused Milomir Savčić with the criminal offense of Genocide under Article 171, Subparagraphs a) and b), of the CC BiH, as read with Article 180(1) and Article 31 of the CC BiH.

The Indictment, inter alia, alleges that Milomir Savčić, as Commander of the 65th Protective Motorized Regiment of the Republika Srpska Military Headquarters, knowing of the intention of principal perpetrators to partly exterminate a national, ethnic and religious group of Bosniaks, aided and abetted, and supported the killing of male members of the group of Bosniaks and the infliction of serious bodily and psychological injuries on the group of Bosniaks, who, as Bosniaks of Eastern Bosnia, made up a significant part of the ethnic group of Bosniaks.

On 13 January 2020, the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina confirmed the Indictment charging the accused Milomir Savčić with the criminal offense of Genocide under Article 171, Subparagraphs a) and b), of the CC BiH, as read with Article 180(1) and Article 31 of the CC BiH.
