The newly built roundabout at the junction of Hamdija Cemerlica Street and Put Zivota in the Sarajevo settlement of Pofalici was opened on Saturday, May 16.

It was emphasized at the opening that this is one of the strategic projects of the Municipality of Novo Sarajevo, and the mayor Nedzad Koldzo said that the roundabout is one of the largest in the canton, given that it includes 18 entry and exit lanes, eKapija business portal reports.

“The municipality has made a large number of large projects, built clinics and halls, but this roundabout is definitely classified as a large project,” said Koldzo and added that numerous complications accompanied the construction.

He stated that they worked intensively for five years on the realization of the idea and the project.

The total value of the realization of this project is 1,500,000 BAM, of which the Municipality of Novo Sarajevo provided 700,000 BAM, and the Directorate for Roads of Canton Sarajevo 800,000 BAM.
