What was the Foreign Trade Deficit of Bosnia and Herzegovina Last Year?

Last year, the foreign trade deficit of Bosnia and Herzegovina amounted to slightly more than eight billion BAM, and the coverage of imports by exports was 58.9 percent, the Agency for Statistics of BiH announced.

Last year’s export of BiH was 11.492 billion BAM, which is 3.4 percent less than in 2018, while imports increased by 1.2 percent and amounted to 19.498 billion BAM.

Exports to CEFTA countries last year amounted to 1.904 billion BAM, which is 2.3 percent less than in 2018, while imports were 2.42 billion BAM, which is 3.9 percent more.

The coverage of imports by exports with CEFTA countries was 78.7 percent.

Exports to EU countries last year amounted to 8.388 billion BAM, which is 3.4 percent less than in 2018, while imports were 12.08 billion BAM, which is 3.6 percent more.

The coverage of imports by exports with EU countries was 69.4 percent.
