Due to the increase in the number of newly infected in Sarajevo Canton, and the confirmed case of a new coronavirus infection of an employee of the Cantonal Public Institution “Gerontology Center”, the Crisis Staff of Canton Sarajevo Ministry of Health for monitoring and analyzing the situation issued a prohibition of visit to nursing homes, with application from June 21 this year.

This measure of temporary prohibition was adopted by the Cantonal Crisis Staff on the basis of item 11 of the Order of the Crisis Staff of the Federal Ministry of Health, which is in force since June 12 this year, and according to which all cantonal headquarters of the Ministries of Health are allowed to introduce more restrictive measures, Avaz news portal reports.

In cooperation with the relevant Ministry of Labor, Social Policy, Displaced Persons and Refugees of CS, this order will be immediately forwarded to all cantonal social institutions.

Its implementation is planned to last until the epidemiological situation in Sarajevo Canton stabilizes again.
