On Wednesday, the medical unit of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina disinfected the facilities of the institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina in East Sarajevo, in the fight against the spread of coronavirus.

The premises and facilities of the BiH Market Surveillance Agency and the Agency for Prevention of Corruption and Coordination of the Fight against Corruption were disinfected, and thus they were put back to the use of agency officials, the BiH Ministry of Defense announced.

Members of the Sanitary Unit of the AFBiH were sent to perform the task of disinfection of premises and facilities, and before leaving for the task, in coordination with the bearers of logistical support, a preventive medical examination of all members of the coronavirus was performed.

The means used during this disinfection proved to be effective in defending against the spread of coronavirus, which is visible in the area of Maglaj, Citluk, Mostar, Jablanica and Konjic, where members of the BiH Armed Forces disinfected premises, buildings and public areas in May this year.

Members of the AFBiH Sanitary Unit acted on the basis of the request of the Service for Joint Affairs of the Institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina, in order to assist the civil service agencies of Bosnia and Herzegovina in defending against the spread of coronavirus.

With this, the Armed Forces of BiH once again showed that they have the capacity, ability and highly trained personnel to perform the most demanding tasks, which in this case would be the prevention of coronavirus infection, is stated in the press relase.
