Radoncic: When there is US Influence on Serbian Politics, Bosnia and Herzegovina is calmer

”In Bosnia and Herzegovina, the meeting of Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic with US President Donald Trump is completely misinterpreted. That’s a very good thing. Why should we not express satisfaction if the United States, which is a great friend of the region and BiH, is becoming the dominant external force in neighboring Serbia,” was stated by the president of the Alliance for a Better Future of BiH, Fahrudin Radoncic, commenting on the recent meeting in Washington.

”It is a great thing that President Vucic went there, made a big agreement concerning them and Kosovo. When we have US influence on Belgrade’s policy, we as BiH and Bosniaks are much calmer. We should support the development of Serbia, the construction of highways and, if it is already being built, it is better to build with American money and interest than with Russian or Chinese money. In that sense, I think that it is a very good thing and that Vucic did a great job and that he should be congratulated on being accepted in the White House and for doing a great stabilizing regional position,” said Radoncic.

Commenting on “little Schengen”, Radoncic said that it was a chance for Bosnia and Herzegovina.

”You had the opportunity for someone from the Presidency of BiH to react quickly that we do not need that. These are substitutions of theses. I saw in the party bulletins to say “little Schengen” – a great Serbia. The “small Schengen” market can number about 17-18 million people. And even if you agree with that stupid nationalist story of who is who, in that story the question is who is the majority. Are they Serbs, Orthodox or Muslims. When you take Muslims in Kosovo, Albania, BiH, Montenegro and those who live in Serbia and add them up with Macedonians and Montenegrins, Serbs would probably not be in the majority,” said Radoncic.

He noted that the point is that our man from BiH, who wants to go on vacation to Albania or Montenegro, for example, does not have to cross the border.

”Boundaries remain. Our trucks will not wait 10, 20 or 40 hours to import or export goods. There is a huge flow of traffic and people and products. In that sense, BiH has no reason to fear. Albania, which agreed to the idea, would not do anything to the detriment of its sovereignty,” Radoncic concluded, Avaz news portal reports.
