Commander EUFOR Major General Reinhard Trischak and Minister of Security of BiH Selmo Cikotic travelled on Wedenesday to the Border Crossing Point in Zvornik. After EUFOR and its reserve forces again successfully cooperated with the BiH Ministry of Security and BiH Law Enforcement Agencies during Exercise Quick Response 2020, Minister Cikotic invited Major General Trischak to an on-site visit of the Border Police at one of the most frequented crossing points with Serbia. This reiterates the high level of cooperation between EUFOR and the BiH Law Enforcement Agencies.

Commander EUFOR said:

“It is necessary to gain close insight on the situation along the border on a regular basis and to exchange views at the highest level. I thank Minister Cikotić for his efforts and support to jointly ensure security and stability in the country.”

Close cooperation and exchange of information between EUFOR and BiH authorities are essential and complement the assessment of security situation in the country. One of EUFOR’s tasks is the support to local authorities in maintaining a safe and secure environment for all citizens in BiH.
