On the occasion of the Day of Europe, the Sarajevo Regional Development Agency SERDA, in cooperation with the Directorate for European Integration BiH will organize an educational seminar on 9 May “Learning about the EU” for students and professors of the second gymnasium in Sarajevo.
The goal of these activities is to bring closer to young people the values and opportunities of the EU so that they would gain new knowledge of the process of EU integration in our country and to become more active during a time of BiH’s approaching accession to the EU.
In the framework of the one-day education seminar, students will have the opportunity to become familiar with the history and emergence of the EU, its basic institutions and ways of functioning, as well as the benefits and opportunities that it lends to all members.
Particular emphasis will be placed on programs and funds of the EU that are at the disposal to our country, and in which secondary schools could be included.
Through an interactive approach students of the second gymnasium in Sarajevo would have the opportunity to present their knowledge of the EU, and to learn more about the current status of BIH on the path to Euro Atlantic integration.
