After the analysis of 299 samples, collected in the period from September 29 to October 1 this year, 26 newly infected persons with coronavirus were confirmed in the Sarajevo Canton.

Sixteen or 61.53 percent of them belong to the family clusters or contacts of previously ill people, and they are in self-isolation from before.

In the previous 24 hours, the recovery of 30 people was recorded, so that the number of active cases of coronavirus infection is currently 234.

There are 32 people undergoing hospital treatment in the Isolator of the Clinical Center of the University of Sarajevo in Podhrastovi, one of whom uses mechanical respiratory support during breathing.

One patient was discharged from hospital from this isolator during the past 24 hours.

Unfortunately, there has been one death since the last report, so the total number of deaths from coronavirus infection has increased to 82.

To date, 4,659 infected persons have been confirmed in Sarajevo Canton, of whom 4,343 have recovered from COVID infection.

In the period from September 18 to October 2 this year, 506 self-isolations were ordered.
