The results of the survey on the use of information and communication technologies in households and individually in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, for this year, showed that 66.9% of households use a computer and that 73.3% of households have an Internet connection.
In the urban type of settlement, computers can be found in 68.6% of households, while in other types of settlements, computers can be found in 65.5% of households. In the urban type of settlement, the Internet is active in 75.5% of households, while in the other type of settlement, the Internet is active in 71.5%.
In the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, 68.7% of individuals in the household used a computer, 2.7% of individuals used a computer more than 3 months ago, and 5.1% of individuals used a computer more than a year ago. A total of 23.5% of individuals have never used a computer.
In the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, 73.4% of individuals in the household used the Internet, 1.2% of individuals used the Internet more than 3 months ago, and 2.3% of individuals used the Internet more than a year ago. The Internet has never been used by 23.1% of individuals.
According to the data of the Agency for Statistics of BiH, 62.7% of companies have a website, ie 37% of them do not. What is also interesting is the large share of those companies that do not have their own website, and by the type of work such a thing would be expected.
Namely, 87.5% of companies engaged in the repair and maintenance of computers and communication equipment have a website – which means that 12.5 percent of them do not have a website. Also, companies dealing with information and communication in 89 percent of cases have a website, but this means that every tenth company does not have a website, Klix.ba news portal reports.
