Covic met with UN Resident Coordinator in Bosnia and Herzegovina

Deputy Speaker of the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina Dragan Covic held a meeting in Sarajevo on Tuesday with UN Resident Coordinator in Bosnia and Herzegovina Ingrid Macdonald, with whom he discussed the current situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina, BiH’s Euro-Atlantic path, and support for the work of the UN.

Covic informed Macdonald about the situation in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.

Deputy Speaker of the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina emphasized the importance of the work of the UN in Bosnia and Herzegovina, underlining the importance of the strong role of the UN, continuously working to promote and protect peace and security in the world.

He also emphasized the significant contribution of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which actively participates in UN peacekeeping missions.

Especially in light of the 25th anniversary of the Dayton Peace Agreement, the two officials stressed the importance of peace, stability and dialogue, as well as the need to build a developed Bosnia and Herzegovina, as a country on the path to Euro-Atlantic integration.
