18 million BAM allocated for training of Air Traffic Controllers

13451058_1783016625268347_1922932281_nOn the proposal of the Ministry of Communications and Transportation, the Council of Ministers of BiH adopted the Decision on initiating the procedure of procurement of services of professional training of staff required for the implementation of Phase II of takeover the management and control of air traffic in the airspace of BiH.

The estimated value of the contract, excluding VAT, amounted to 18 million BAM and it is financed from their own resources or through revenues of the Agency through route and terminal charges.

For the purpose of safe, regular and expeditious provision of air traffic services in the upper layer of the airspace of BiH, it is necessary to provide a sufficient number of qualified and licensed air traffic controllers, which is also the most important precondition for taking over the operations in Phase II, for the purpose of realization of the objectives of BHATM strategy on time, and taking responsibility of providing services in the airspace of BiH.
