imageThe 1st Snooker Academy in B&H was open for all those who love snooker on October 25th 2014 in Sarajevo. It proves this sport is more and more popular here.

The Snooker Academy was open in the rooms of the snooker club Union Jack, at Trg Heroja 32 in Sarajevo.

The founder of the Academy is Zijad Redžić, owner of the Union Jack club and the first certified snooker coach in B&H. He got his certificate at WPBSA (The world professional billiards and snooker association) in England under the mentorship of Steve Davis, professional snooker player who entered this sport’s history by winning the world champion title six times.

The WPBSA’s Academy is frequented by coaches from all around the world and this year the Academy had a coach from B&H for the first time.

Sanjin Pehlivanović, 13 year old European champion in the billiard discipline 9 also attended the solemn opening of the 1st Snooker Academy in B&H and along with the youngest member of the Union Jack Club, Orhan Huremagić cut the ribbon and opened the doors of the Academy.

This will contribute greatly to the development of this sport in B&H, in the same way it is done at the greatest world snooker academy.
