Federal Minister of Labor and Social Policy Adnan Delić signed contracts today with representatives of the Pensioners’ Association in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which will provide a total of 2.14 million BAM in support for this population for 2026.
Of the total amount, 2 million BAM is intended for the spa treatment and rehabilitation program for pensioners, while 140,000 BAM has been allocated to support the work of the Pensioners’ Association.
The contracts were signed on behalf of the association by Redžo Mehić and Marinko Jovanović, and the signing was also attended by the Director of the Pension and Disability Insurance Institute, Halil Šubašić.
These contracts continue the continuity of support for pensioners in the Federation of BiH, with a special focus on improving their health status through more accessible spa treatment, but also strengthening the capacities of the Pensioners’ Association, which plays an important role in representing the interests of this population.
The spa treatment and rehabilitation program will once again include thousands of pensioners across the Federation this year, enabling them to access services that contribute to preserving health and improving the quality of life.
The Federal Ministry of Labor and Social Policy, following recent amendments to the Law on Pension and Disability Insurance, which enabled an increase in pensions this year of around 17 percent for 465,000 pensioners, continues to implement measures that have a concrete and direct effect on the standard of pensioners, all in partnership with the Pensioners’ Association and institutions of the system.
