There is currently 20 centimeters of snow on Jahorina Mountain, and preparations are well underway for the upcoming ski season, which begins on December 8, with a concert by the legendary singer Zdravko Čolić, said Dejan Ljevnaić, director of the Olympic Center “Jahorina”.

He states that preparations are underway with a special focus on the control and maintenance of vertical transport installations, and the teams are dedicated to the safety and enjoyment of skiers on the slopes.

“Thanks to our artificial snow systems and the precipitation that is forecast during the weekend, there is a good chance that visitors will soon be able to enjoy skiing adventures on the slopes,” said Ljevnaić.

He points out that the tickets for Zdravko Čović’s concert are sold out, which confirms the huge interest of the audience in this unforgettable musical event, as well as in Jahorina Mountain.

When it comes to new investments, Ljevnaić says that the management of the Olympic Center has taken significant steps to improve the experience on the track, so, in addition to the already available 49 kilometers of tracks, they have added an additional three kilometers, providing a greater choice of routes for all fans of skiing and snowboarding.

Ljevnaić points out that investments have been made in upgrading the artificial snowmaking system, which will enable optimal conditions on the slopes throughout the season.

He stated that the plan is to build an artificial lake in Skočine, which will provide an additional 20,000 cubic meters of water for better snowmaking and trail maintenance.

According to Ljevnaić, apart from Zdravko Čolić’s concert, they prepared a rich cultural program throughout the season, such as performances by Toni Cetinski, Vesna Zmijanac for the New Year, Edita Aradinović, Ana Bekuta, Indira Radić and many others.

“Our goal is to provide visitors with an unforgettable experience of skiing and entertainment on Jahorina and to justify their trust. For an unforgettable stay in a heavenly mountain environment, in addition to traditional skiing on superbly groomed trails, we are also proud of additional facilities that make our ski center a unique place for winter vacation,” Ljevnaić said.

He says that for those who enjoy the magic of night skiing, they offer a special experience under the stars where their snowboard park is the perfect place for fans of this exciting sport, while fans of fast driving will be able to enjoy sledding on specially prepared tracks.

Ljevnaić states that the opening of the ski center “Igrišta” is also planned in order to provide additional opportunities for fans of winter sports on the slopes that promise an exciting and unforgettable experience, and are located on the road Vlasenica – Han Pijesak.
