The 23rd Sarajevo Film Festival will take place from August 11 to 18, this year. Yesterday in Sarajevo was presented the Competition Program of Feature Film, as well as the category “In Focus”.

The Competition Program – Feature Film gives a priority to the achievements whose world or international premiere will take place at the Sarajevo Film Festival. The films within this program will be screened in the National Theater of Sarajevo.

As the main program of the Sarajevo Film Festival, the Competition Program attracts a large number of guests – directors, screenwriters, producers, actors, actresses and other filmmakers, and it became the most significant place for Eastern European films and all those who are interested in films of the countries that were represented in the past years.

This is the 15th year since the SFF features the Competition Program, said Elma Tataragic. She noted that the festival is regionally oriented, but that the region now includes 20 countries – from Austria to Azerbaijan.

The screening will take place at 4 PM at the National Theater, and Elma Tataragic invited everyone to come and be part of this event.

Besides the great films within the Competition Program, visitors will be able to watch the program “In Focus” this year, within which will be screened six of the best regional films that could not be found in the competition program. “In Focus” represents two films from Hungary, as well as films from Croatia, Macedonia, Serbia, and Georgia.

Out of a total of 210 films, seven films entered the competition.
