Tuzla-panonsko-jezeroThe new heat wave yesterday was the reason for the huge visits to the Panonska Lakes in Tuzla.

By 14:00 yesterday there were more than 10.000 people. In one month, more than 260.000 people visited this area, which was the total amount in one season last year.

“This is around 60 percent of our set plan, and I believe that by the end of this and the beginning of next month we will achieve our plan. This is 400.000 visits in the season, which would be a new record’’, said Maid Porobić, Director of the company ‘Panonika’ in Tuzla.

Selver Ferhatbegović left Tuzla and lives in France now with this family. However, in the last few years he has been planning his vacations in his hometown, and one of the reasons is the salty lakes.

“I heard a lot of criticism earlier about the lakes, but I was reassured when I came here. This is excellent and I have been coming to Tuzla for three year because of the lakes. Vacation, services, prices, everything is in one place’’, said Ferhatbegović.

The complex ‘Panonika’ offers two fast food facilities, and one large restaurant with a view of the summer garden in the shade. The prices are affordable and, according to guests, much lower than in the region.

‘’Grilled dishes, meatballs, hamburgers, and sausages range from three to seven marks. Various types of soups go from two to three and a half marks, while steak dishes are around seven to twelve marks. There are also seafood dishes that cost from four to seven marks’’, added Porobić.

The prices of drinks are also affordable. Half a liter juices cost two marks, coffee is one mark and a half. The price of beer starts between two and three marks. There is also a fitness center with thirty machines, as well as volleyball and soccer on sand, and it is free.

Among the biggest attraction at the lakes from this season are two slides that have been set up at the opening of the third lake. The price for 5 turns on the slide is one mark.
