betlehemsko_svjetloOn the occasion of Christmas, scouts of Sarajevo and Ilidža will bring the Bethlehem light on 22 December, at 8:45, at the blessed Virgin Mary Church in Stup. The Pastor Miroslav Čavar will receive the Bethlehem light.

Afterwards, the Bethlehem light will be transferred to the Convent “Carmelite sisters” in Ilidža.

Bethlehem light was taken from Austrian scouts from the stall where Jesus was born. Scouts of Croatia received the light from the Austrian scouts. Bethlehem light was brought to the Sarajevo Cathedral from members of scouts “Radobolja” from Mostar and from members of “Široki Brijeg”.

“The candle was lit up from Austrian scouts in Bethlehem at the stall where Jesus was born and we bring it to you, as an expression of love, faith and peace among people. Let this light, the symbol of eternity light, and the birth of God’s son, come to our homes and to the hearts of every human being”, said the scout Stela Bosnić last Sunday, after the Bethlehem light was brought to the Sarajevo Cathedral.
