35 new Cases of Coronavirus Infection have been confirmed in Sarajevo Canton

According to this morning’s report by the Institute of Public Health, 35 new cases of coronavirus infection have been confirmed in Sarajevo Canton.

These are the results of testing 310 samples, collected from August 21-24 this year.

Of this number of newly infected, 22 or 62.9 percent of them belong to family clusters, and are in self-isolation from before.

At the same time, 67 people recovered, reducing the number of active cases of coronavirus infection in Sarajevo Canton to 565.

At Podhrastovi Hospital, 49 patients are being treated, two of whom are using respiratory support for breathing.

Eight people were discharged from this hospital treatment yesterday.

In the past 24 hours, unfortunately, one patient died of the infectious disease COVID-19, so that the total number of deaths in the Sarajevo Canton remained 65.

There are currently 1,086 people in self-isolation. Since the beginning of the pandemic, 3,719 people have been registered with the new coronavirus in the Sarajevo Canton, while a total of 3,089 people have recovered.
