The Center for Research and Studies GEA, with the support of the American Agency for International Development (USAID) organized a project “Student Entrepreneurship”, where the educational program “I have an idea’ as an incentive to the development of student entrepreneurship in Sarajevo, Banja Luka and Mostar.
The team of students competed in the preparation of business plans for the successful launch and operation of projects, and the selection of the best student works completed the second cycle that lasted from October 2012 to June of this year.
The Commission for Evaluation consisted of university representatives, as well as successful business people and renowned experts from BiH.
Students took the project seriously, so the Commission had a responsible task of choosing the best.
The three most successful business idea proposals and the development of a business plan in every one of the three cities received the main prize of 4.000 USD each.
In the program “I have an idea”, all students from the Faculty of Sarajevo, Banja Luka and Mostar participated, and for participation in the second season 533 students registered.
The proposed business ideas and projects touch upon a wide range within the business industry, from modern virtual and technological projects, through manufacturing and service industries, to ideas in the area of agricultural production.
The award-winning student business projects will be presented at the Youth Business Forum, which will be organized during this year’s Fall semester.
