Government of Republika Srpska (RS) decided today, at the session in Banja Luka, that a new hospital in East Sarajevo will be constructed. The Ministry of Health and Social Welfare and the Ministry of Finance will be in charge to determine the model and provide funds for financing this construction, as reported by the Government.
Today, the government has adopted the information about capital projects and other investments in the health system of the RS for 2015, emphasizing that a total of 43,312,127 BAM has been invested into the capital investment in the public health sector this year.
The investments are realized through: the Health Insurance Fund of RS, donations, the project “Reconstruction and equipping the University Hospital of the Clinical Center of Banja Luka,” the project “Modernization of hospitals in B&H – Phase 3”, loans from Korea, the project “Construction and equipping of the Central part of the south wing of the Central medical Block of the University Hospital of the Clinical Center in Banja Luka, ” the project of equipping the Institute of forensic Psychiatry in Sokolac, the project of reconstruction, renovation and rehabilitation of the hospital in East Sarajevo, as well as many other projects.
“With the realization of capital investments, we will increase the availability of health care, reduce the number of patients treated abroad and increase the efficiency of the health system by improving the quality of work,” as announced in the statement.
