Police officers of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) today, in cooperation with the officers of the Indirect Taxation Administration of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as part of the operational action “Lan”, began searches of residential and auxiliary buildings and movable property in 18 locations, in the area of Samac, Donje Žabar, Gradačac, Banja Luka, Čelinac, Laktaši and Pale.

Searches are carried out by order of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina and under the supervision of the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina due to the existence of grounds for suspicion that the criminal offenses “Association for the purpose of committing criminal offenses” and “Illegal circulation of excise goods” have been committed, prescribed by the Criminal Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Police officers of the Ministry of the Interior of the Republika Srpska and the Ministry of the Interior of the Tuzla Canton also participate in the implementation of the “Lan” operation.
