The Association of Independent Trade Unions of B&H (SSSBiH) will mark on 1 May, which is Labor Day, without organizing any walks or meetings, said to Fena Agency the President of SSSBiH Ismet Bajramović.
‘’At the last session of the Presidency of the Association of Independent Trade Unions of B&H a decision was brought to hold an extraordinary Congress of B&H Unions, where a decision should be adopted on the organizing of general strike warnings up to two hours in May’’, said Bajramović.
On Monday, the Central Committee of SSSBiH will agree on union demands at a session in Sarajevo, and there will be, as he says: verification of health records, adoption of certain measures relating to the reduction or even elimination of compensation in supervisory boards, committees and working committees, and those are laws on labor and labor protection.
‘’There will certainly be some demands about that and we will deal with it on 28 April, and we expect that there will be a request to adopt a law that we have been expecting for a longer period of time, and those are, of course, amendments to the law on Strikes and the Law on Misdemeanors. So there are reasons for dissatisfaction, but we have reasons to have something organized for 1 May, but for it to not be minimized, or a walk or some impromptu meeting, so we decided to have nothing less than an extraordinary congress of SSSBiH that finally has to show that the biggest organ that is called the Congress brings the main decisions’’, said Bajramović.
