sbf-2013-1The 4th international investment conference called ‘Sarajevo Business Forum’ (SBF) ‘Models of Growth and Lessons For Southeast Europe’’ begins tomorrow in the Congress Hall of Hotel ‘Holiday’ in Sarajevo.

The organizers of the conference are BBI Bank and the Islamic Development Bank (IDB), and will include the participation of eminent world leaders. The fourth Prime Minister of Malaysia Mahatmir Muhamad will present a growth and development model of Malaysia and will participate in a discussion on the development potential of BiH and the region, and the Deputy Prime Minister of Turkey Ali Babacan will present to the public and investors a vision of success and rapid growth in Turkey.

The former President of Slovenia Danilo Türk will convey the transitional experience of Slovenia and the entry of the country to the EU.

In the second part of the conference, world experts, representatives of institutional investors from agriculture, infrastructure, energy and tourism will present the best international experiences from these areas and roads for development potential.

“The focus of SBF this year is to draw conclusions for BIH and countries in the region on the discussion of successful models of growth and development, represented through the experience of world leaders such as Mahatmir, Babacan and Turk. The best global practices in the area of agriculture, infrastructure, energy and tourism that could be used in BiH and in the region as strategies will be presented. We prepared the forum this year more in the form of a conference, and the expected results are the establishment of new platforms for the development potential that BiH and countries in Southeast Europe have’’, announced the Director of BBI Bank Amir Bukvić.

Just like last year, during the conference interested businesspeople will have the opportunity to hold B2B meetings.

On the second day of the conference, it is expected that foreign investors will visit production facilities of local producers.

At the last three conferences, which was called by some media as the ‘most important economic event in modern Europe’’, more than 1.300 investors from countries in the Gulf, Europe, Asia and the US participated, where projects from various areas were presented.

Some of the proponents of the project in this way have come to investors with their ideas and manifested into activities or improved their business cooperation with foreign markets.
