The Federal Ministry of Trade announced that today, March 6, the average retail price of diesel is higher by 0.08 KM per liter compared to the day before, while the price of premium unleaded gasoline 95 remained the same compared to Wednesday, March 4.

Of the total number of OPC and OPM forms, which gas stations submitted to the Federal Ministry of Trade in the period from February 28 to March 5 this year, 1,593 OPC and OPM forms refer to diesel, while 760 of them refer to premium unleaded gasoline 95.

The Ministry reminds that in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina the Decision on prescribing direct price control measures by determining the maximum level of margins for oil derivatives is still in force, which prescribes a maximum margin of 0.06 BAM per liter of derivatives for companies engaged in wholesale trade, while a maximum margin of 0.25 BAM per liter of derivatives is prescribed for companies engaged in the retail trade of oil derivatives.

The federal and cantonal market inspectors continuously monitor the implementation of the said Decision, as long as it is in force, the Federal Ministry of Trade states, adding that all market inspectors from the territory of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina have access to the data received by the Federal Ministry of Trade.

The focus of inspection supervision, as they state, is aimed at controlling wholesale and retail price calculations, that is, at controlling the formation of prices prescribed by direct price control measures.

They also note that in order to provide comprehensive and timely information on retail prices n/a at gas stations in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Federal Ministry of Trade installed a free mobile application for citizens called “FMT FBiH oil info” in June 2019.

The download of this application is available through the Google Play service for mobile phones with the Android operating system, and for Apple, iPHONE and iPad mobile devices, the download of the application is available directly from the App Store service, as well as through a link or by scanning a QR code, which are specially placed on the website of the Federal Ministry of Trade: http://www.fmt.gov.ba.

The application also provides users with the opportunity to report certain irregularities at gas stations, which, as the Ministry points out, greatly contributes to their easier elimination.
