At today’s session, the Sarajevo Canton Assembly will consider the Proposal for a Decision on accepting the resignation of KS Prime Minister Nihad Uk and dismissing the Sarajevo Canton Government.

On February 15, three days after the tragic tram accident in which a young man, Erdoan Morankic, was killed, and four other people were injured, one of them seriously, Uk resigned as prime minister. This brought down the KS Government, which he had headed for three years.

At the same time, members of the informal group “Hoćel’ ta prejjena” invited young people, as well as other citizens of Sarajevo, to gather again on the street at 10 a.m., during the session of the cantonal assembly.

“The KS Assembly is in session – we are also in session. We invite all students, pupils, workers and other citizens to join. Whatever the outcome of the session, be it a technical mandate or a new government, they are certainly obliged to start doing their work”.

Also on the agenda of the session is the Proposal for the Decision on accepting the resignation and dismissal of the deputy attorney general of the KS Attorney’s Office and the Proposal for the Decision on the appointment of the Independent Committee of the KS Assembly.

In front of the representatives is the Proposal of the Law on Amendments to the Law on Communal Cleanliness – abbreviated procedure and the Draft Law on the Legalization of Buildings and Other Work Performed in Areas Built Without a Building Permit.

The Draft of Amendments to the Law on Internal Affairs of the KS, Amendments to the Law on Police Officers of the KS, and the Draft of the Law on Procuring, Holding and Carrying Weapons and Ammunition will also be considered.

As announced, the Draft Decision on the protection of the source of drinking water “Djevojačke vode”, the Draft Provisional Decision on the protection of the source of drinking water “Sarajevsko polje”, as well as the Draft Decision on the protection of the source of drinking water “Peračko vrelo” will be considered.
