What did Anesa Kajtazović do on the US political Scene?

12965957_1151052811612340_263023513_nAnesa Kajtazović, who is only 26 years old, recently became the Mayor of Waterloo in the US state of Iowa. In the election race, Kajtazović defeated the experienced Republican John Rooff.

Kajtazović was born in Biha and her parents emigrated to USA during the war. In order to provide for their family, they had to do several jobs, mostly physical ones.

Anesa graduated from the Western Waterloo High School, and then she obtained the degree of specialist for public and business administration from the University of Northern Iowa.

This young Bosniak defeated the experienced politician and former Mayor of Waterloo, Johan Rooff, with 59 percent of the votes.

Local newspapers reported that the 64-year-old mayor, who had been under attack during the campaign for spending state money, had no chance of defeatig the charming and ambitious Bosnian. Givent that a large number of Anesa’s compatriots are living in Waterloo, her victory has been celebrated for several days.

Kajtazović has already been a member of the House of Representatives of Iowa.
