Economic and political analyst Draško Aćimović announced that while millions arrive in Bosnia and Herzegovina, European investigators are inspecting abuse of irretrievable funds from previous years.

“According to reports by European bodies, the European Public Prosecutor’s Office (EPPO) and Office Européen de Lutte Anti-Fraude (OLAF) are actively conducting checks, supervisions, and investigations under suspicion of irregularities and abuse of irretrievable funds (grants) in Bosnia and Herzegovina,” he said.

According to Aćimović, suspicious contracts in the field of ecological programs, transport infrastructure, agricultural subventions, grants to small and medium enterprises, employment projects, and others are under the magnifying glass of investigators from Brussels.

“As the new aid packages from the IPA funds are being granted, the European Union sends a clear message that every euro will be tracked under rigorous circumstances. In this process, the domestic institutions – the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) and the Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina are expected to do their part efficiently.
