Member of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Željka Cvijanović shared on social media that she met with Susie Wiles, Donald Trump’s Chief of Staff, at the White House.
“It was my pleasure to talk with Susie Wiles, Donald Trump’s Chief of Staff, at the White House today. We discussed the situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the region with her, the closest ally of the US President, Donald Trump. We are making new and reaffirming old friendships. We are looking forward to the continuation of the cooperation,” wrote Cvijanović in a photo description.
Susie Wiles is one of the key figures in Donald Trump’s inner circle. As the White House Chief of Staff, she holds a position that is traditionally considered exceptionally powerful in the US political system.
Her influence stems from controlling access to the President, coordinating the work of senior officials, and directing the administration’s daily priorities.
Unlike many previous advisors, Wiles has built a reputation as the behind-the-scenes operative who rarely gives interviews, and Trump ascribes her credit for discipline and organization throughout his successful presidential campaign.
The officials from Republika Srpska have been trying to establish direct contacts with individuals within Donald Trump’s inner circle in the hope that it will bring a shift in US policy toward Bosnia and Herzegovina.
