New bilateral agreements are needed
In a conversation with the ambassador of the Republic of Ivory Coast, it was said that diplomatic relations between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Ivory Coast were established 31 years ago, and the desire to improve bilateral cooperation by initiating contractual relations between the two countries was expressed when the security conditions for this are met.
The conclusion of new bilateral agreements in areas of immediate interest for the development of relations between the two countries should be considered as a priority, it was stated during the meeting.
During the meeting with the ambassador of the Philippines, it was assessed that the political relations between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of the Philippines are friendly and without open issues, but that bilateral cooperation remains insufficiently developed in relation to existing potential.
One of the obstacles to stronger development of cooperation is the insufficiently developed bilateral contractual framework, the improvement of which would contribute to better utilization of existing potentials and further strengthening of relations between the two countries.
During the meeting with the ambassador of the Republic of Cuba, the Chairman of the BiH Presidency, Denis Bećirović, reminded that Cuba recognized Bosnia and Herzegovina on December 12, 1992, and that diplomatic relations between the two countries were established on April 29, 1997. They discussed the current bilateral relations and the possibilities of cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
In a conversation with the ambassador of Angola, the chairman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina expressed his satisfaction with the friendly relations between the two countries, and the interest that Angola shows in their improvement by handing over the credentials of the new ambassador. The progress achieved by Angola was welcomed, along with the expressed interest in establishing bilateral agreements and improving economic, economic and commercial cooperation, for the benefit of the people of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Angola.
At the end of the letter-of-accreditation ceremony, the chairman of the BiH Presidency, Denis Bećirović, wished a successful diplomatic mission to the newly appointed ambassador of the Republic of Ivory Coast and the newly appointed ambassadors of the Republic of the Philippines, the Republic of Cuba, and the Republic of Angola for Bosnia and Herzegovina, it was announced.
