Pensions for October will be paid out today via the Unified Treasury Account of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, in accordance with the Law on Pension and Disability Insurance (PIO/MIO).

For beneficiaries who acquired their entitlement before January 1, 2026, the lowest pension is 692.23 KM, the guaranteed pension is 826.14 KM, and the highest pension is 3,461.14 KM.

The base for calculating the lowest pension—pursuant to Article 81, Paragraph 2 of the Law on Amendments to the Law on Pension and Disability Insurance (published in the “Official Gazette of the Federation of BiH,” No. 6/26)—is 752.03 KM for beneficiaries who acquire their entitlement after January 1, 2026. This figure was derived by increasing the amount of 724.36 KM by 3.82 percent.
Consequently, the lowest pension for less than 20 years of pensionable service—calculated as 60 percent of the base—amounts to 451.22 KM. For 20 or more years, but less than 25 years of service—calculated as 65 percent of the base—the lowest pension is 488.82 KM.

The lowest pension for 25 or more years, but less than 30 years of pensionable service—calculated as 70 percent of the base—is 526.42 KM. For 30 or more years, but less than 35 years of service—calculated as 75 percent of the base—it amounts to 564.02 KM. For 35 or more years of pensionable service—but less than 40 years—which corresponds to 85 percent of the base, the lowest pension amount is 639.23 KM. For 40 or more years of service, corresponding to 95 percent of the base, the amount is 714.43 KM.

As of January 1, 2026, the lowest disability pension and the lowest survivor’s pension (following an active insured person, pursuant to Article 81, Paragraph 4 of the Law on Pension and Disability Insurance) are set at 676.83 KM each.

The guaranteed pension for beneficiaries who qualify after January 1, 2026, based on 40 or more years of insurance coverage, is set at 874.62 KM.

The lowest pension for beneficiaries who qualify under special regulations is set at 692.23 KM. This applies to the Law on Early Favorable Retirement of Defenders of the Defensive-Liberation War, the Law on Special Rights of Recipients of War Decorations and Awards and Their Family Members, and the Law on the Rights of Defenders and Their Family Members—specifically, the amendments to these regulations that take effect on January 1, 2026.
The average independent pension for October is 886.33 KM.

A total of 474,304 beneficiaries will receive a pension for October, requiring a disbursement of approximately 374.8 million KM.
