55 migrants escaped from the quarantine in the “Miral” camp in Velika Kladusa, who jumped over the fence, without anyone even trying to stop them, as the Minister of Health of the Una-Sana Canton (USC), Nermina Cemalovic said.

According to the data of the Institute of Public Health of the USC, the largest number of infected are in the “Miral” camp, about 150 of them, while 80 of them are in isolation.

In the “Borici” camp, 45 migrants and 12 workers of the camp were infected, while in the camp “Sedra” there are 11 positive ones, and the test results for 152 employees are awaited, as N1 reported.

The epidemiological situation in the reception camp “Usivak”, near Sarajevo, is much more favorable because, since the beginning of the pandemic, there has not been a double-digit number of people who have tested positive for the coronavirus.

Azra Ibrahimovic Srebrenica, the manager of the “Usivak” camp, said that the teams working in the center examine every user who enters and that if symptoms appear or there is a suspicion of any symptom, those people are separated and placed in preventive isolation, that lasts from seven to ten days until it is determined whether there are reasonable suspicions.

Currently, there are around 700 people on the move in this migrant camp near Sarajevo.

Mirsad Buzar, Deputy Director of the Service for Foreigners’ Affairs, says that 4.300 migrants are currently staying in six reception centers in BiH.

“They live in abandoned and devastated facilities, houses, and factories, or move from city to city. According to the latest information, there are between 1.500 and 1.700 such migrants that are on the move. The total number of migrants who are staying in BiH is 6.000, ” Buzar added, BHRT writes.
