Delić Anniversary nap.baThe fifth anniversary of the death of General Rasim Delić was marked today, and family members and numerous delegations visited his grave at Shahids’ cemetery at Kovači,

Adnan Delić, son of the wartime commander, said that his father is a person who has entered the history of Bosnia and Herzegovina and gave his life for this country.

“He took over the greatest responsibility in the most difficult moments for B&H, when he took the position of the General of the Army of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina in 1993“.

General Delic retired in 2000, and the trial in The Hague was the most difficult period after the war. In 2008, The Hague Tribunal sentenced him to three years in prison for “cruel treatment and violations of the laws or customs of war”. He served two thirds of his sentence and was then released.

The President of the Social Democratic Party Nermin Nikšić, Zekerijah Osmić, and Damir Mašić paid their respects to the General.
