The Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports allocated a total of 6.72 million KM for the implementation of projects of construction, adaptation and reconstruction of sports infrastructure in cities and municipalities throughout the Federation of BiH, and the contracts with the beneficiaries of the funds were signed today by the Federal Minister of Culture and Sports Sanja Vlaisavljević.
Contracts were signed with the beneficiaries of Capital Transfer funds at other levels of government and with funds for the construction, adaptation and reconstruction of sports infrastructure, through two groups of beneficiaries.
In the first group, funds in the total amount of 4.32 million KM were allocated to the City of Cazin for the second phase of the construction of the city swimming pool, to the Municipality of Velika Kladuša for the reconstruction, extension and rehabilitation of the city sports hall, to the City of Bosanska Krupa for the upgrade of the city sports hall and gym, and to the Municipality of Doboj Jug for the third phase of the construction of the sports center.
The city of Tuzla was granted funds for the rehabilitation of multifunctional fields, the arrangement of a bicycle-pedestrian path along the southern main road M-4 and the modernization of street workout parks, while the municipality of Maglaj was granted funds for the construction of a football field with artificial grass, the continuation of the construction of the sports hall and the rehabilitation of the roof of the sports hall.
In the second group of beneficiaries, a total of 2.4 million KM was allocated. The City of Visoko received the funds for the preliminary design of the interior equipment of the hybrid target shooting range, the Municipality of Ilijaš for the renovation of the premises of the sports facility “Rašid Buća”, the City of Zavidovići for the renovation of the athletics track at the city stadium, the Municipality of Travnik for the continuation of the construction of the swimming pool within the Travnik Mixed High School, and the Municipality of Foča for the project of the sports hall “Ustikolina”.
The Breza municipality was granted funds for the construction of a sports hall in the Mahala settlement and the construction of an auxiliary football field in the Župča settlement, while the Donji Vakuf municipality was allocated for the continuation of the adaptation of the sports hall and the sports center, both in the second phase.
Minister Vlaisavljević said that investing in sports infrastructure means investing in the strength of the people, the health of the community and the future of young generations. She expressed her belief that through such investments, a Federation that believes in its people and its future is being built.
The signatories of the contract emphasized that the implementation of the projects will improve the conditions for sports and recreation and open up new opportunities for citizens, especially young people, the Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports announced.
