632 Foreigners who were not allowed to enter BiH were registered this Year

In the first six months of this year, the Border Police of BiH recorded the crossing of 20,715,192 persons across the borders of BiH and registered 632 foreigners who were not allowed to enter based on the Law on Foreigners, the Border Police told Srna today.

In the first six months, 10,408,155 persons were registered at the entrance to BiH and 10,307,037 persons at the exit, so that compared to the same period last year, when there were 19,811,151 persons, the crossing of persons across the border increased by 4.56 percent.

The Border Police of BiH recorded 1,102 persons for whom the competent authorities issued warrants, searches, measures prohibiting the crossing of the border of BiH, persons of security interest, persons on whom it is necessary to submit information about crossing the border and other searches, which is 3.47 percent more than in compared to the same period last year.

4,567 persons were detected illegally crossing the BiH border, as well as attempting to illegally cross the border, which is 65.47 percent more than in the first half of last year.

As a result of taking intensified measures directly on the border line, in areas where the greatest migrant pressure is expressed, in accordance with the Law on Border Control, about 2,508 people were prevented from attempting to illegally enter BiH from the territory of Serbia and Montenegro, according to the Border Police.

Members of the Border Police of Bosnia and Herzegovina found the most citizens of Afghanistan and Turkey illegally crossing the border of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
