Police actions were carried out in the area of Gracanica resulting in the seizure of 70 kilograms of drugs, and one person has been arrested, with further processing underway.

According to the Police Administration of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Tuzla Canton (TC), their officers from Gracanica, acting on information from the Ministry of the Interior Police of Republika Srpska (RS) that a Skoda Octavia vehicle did not stop at checkpoints within the jurisdiction of Doboj and Doboj Istok, conducted an intensive search.

“The vehicle was located and identified in the area of the Gracanica Police Station, and on that occasion, one person was found and arrested according to the order of the acting prosecutor of TC,” stated the cantonal police.

Furthermore, upon the order and under the supervision of the TC Prosecutor’s Office, further measures and actions were taken, and yesterday a search of the vehicle was carried out by the decision of the Gracanica Municipal Court.

“On this occasion, three transport bags containing 70 packages of approximately 70 kilograms of plant material resembling Cannabis Sativa – with a market value of 350.000 to 400.000 BAM, money in various denominations totaling around 11.000 euros, a mobile phone, a Skoda Octavia vehicle, and other items related to the commission of the criminal offense were found and temporarily confiscated,” specified the police.

After the criminal processing, along with a report containing evidence, the suspect was handed over to the TC Prosecutor’s Office for further proceedings due to the existence of grounds for suspicion of committing the criminal offense of unauthorized production and trafficking of narcotics, Klix.ba reports.
