The process of immunization against COVID-19 in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (FBiH) began in March 2021, and from then until today, one million and 300 thousand doses have been administered. On the other hand, almost 700 thousand of them have been destroyed, it was confirmed by the Institute for Public Health of the FBiH.

The COVID-19 pandemic has been significantly slowed down due to the worldwide immunization process, which was officially established in the FBiH in March 2021.

According to official data from the Institute of Public Health of the FBiH, one million and 300 thousand doses of vaccines from different manufacturers have been administered in that BiH entity.

However, as time goes on, interest in immunization is decreasing, and vaccine doses are expiring. Director of the FBiH Institute of Public Health, Sinisa Skocibusic, says that, approximately, 700.000 doses were destroyed so far due to expiration dates.

When it comes to the COVID-19 pandemic, it is much less intense in our country, and smaller numbers of newly discovered cases of infection are recorded in all cantons in the FBiH, Klix.ba reports.
