This year as well, Association Giro di Sarajevo organizes Giro Bambino, a cycling festival for children, that will be held on Wilson’s promenade on Saturday, 13th June at 3.00 p.m. As in the previous years, the youngest cyclist of Sarajevo will have an opportunity to show their skills at the special polygon, with the support and advices of the members of Giro di Sarajevo. And that is not all – a support to small bikers will be provided by members of the National Team of B&H in road cycling, who will participate in the race Sarajevo Grand Prix, day later.
Since Monday, we are training in the outskirts of Sarajevo and the mood is at excellent level. We are especially happy that we will have an opportunity to contribute to this event that really means a lot to our children, said Emir Hulusic, the national team member and the member of the Team Giro.
Besides him, in the first team of the National Team of B&H are Djulaga Trejic, Mujo Kurtovic, Nedim Alagic, Josip Cerkez and Benjamin Muric, and they are led by the team leader Hajrudin Trle. The best BH cyclists will assist to children at Wilson’s promenade at the passing through the polygon, but will also be there to answer all questions asked by children when it comes to the professional cycling.
Cycling in B&H is on the rise and we in Giro di Sarajevo know that they are talents who want to became a professional cyclists, but there is no one whom they could ask how to achieve it. That is one of the reasons why the National Team members will be at Giro Bambino on Saturday- it will be a pleasure for us to answer all questions prepared for us by the children, added Hulusic.
Giro Bambino is a recreational event that does not have a competitive character, but with the help of sponsors – Nova Vita vitamin drink, and companies BH Telecom, Menprom, Spanish Market and Hotel Bristol, and media sponsors Antena Sarajevo, Klix, Oslobodenje and Sarajevo Times, will prepare a special atmosphere for children, with various presents that will be divided at the end of the ride. Registrations will be held on the spot, and parents are asked to come before 3.00 p.m. in order to avoid crowds at the registration. The participation is dedicated to children up to 12 years with the proper bike.
