856 People affected with Measles in Canton Sarajevo

From January 18th to July 26th, there were 856 people affected with measles, of whom 789 were not vaccinated, 34 were unknown, while 25 had the incomplete vaccine in Sarajevo Canton, data from the Public Health Institute of this Canton revealed on Sunday.

Most of affected people reside in Novi Grad municipality – 316, then Ilidza 168, Novi Sarajevo 150, Centar 106, Vogosca 53, Old Town 39, Hadžići and Ilijaš 11 and Trnovo two.

The most affected, 278, are aged between two and five years old, then one year to two, while the least affected are the ones between the ages of 45 and 50, and older than 50.

During the aforementioned period, the most affected with measles – 91, was recorded from March 25 to March 31, Vijesti.ba news portal reports.
