This year, the city of Prijedor will finance 38 projects worth 94.100 KM for non-profit and youth organizations, announced the Head of the Department for Social Services Ljiljana Babić.
34.100 KM will be allocated for 17 projects for youth organizations in the area of youth education, sport, culture, ecology and social welfare.
“A total of 23 youth organizations and informal groups have applied, and 17 projects for 16 organizations, and two projects have gone through the Youth Council of Prijedor”, said Babić.
The value of the projects ranges from 500 to 5.000 KM.
For 21 projects of non-profit organizations in the field of health, education, sport, culture, ecology and social protection of marginalized groups 60.000 KM will be allocated.
Babić said that for five years already, funds for non-governmental organizations are not given as donations, but by the public call for proposals for projects, which are then selected according to very strict criteria and international methodologies.
“51 nonprofit organizations participated in the call, among which 49 met the criteria. The Commission Scoring System approved 21 projects’’, said Babić.
The worth of the projects ranges from 1.000 KM to 8.000 KM.
