In the next three years, Government of Brcko District plans to invest 290 million BAM in infrastructure projects, which would make the local construction workforce full of capacity, said member of the Commission for Start-up of the Investment Cycle at the Government of the Brcko District Ismet Dedeic.
“This is a very ambitious project which involves the setting up of business zones in the former Mek Gavern Base, in the former barracks of Jugoslav National Army in Krepsi and in the area of Interpleta,” Dedeic said.
The project also includes the construction of a water and sewerage network, 80 km of new roads, several roundabouts, reconstruction of Ficibajer picknick site and reconstruction of the Bulevar of Peace.
“During the construction of these infrastructure projects, around 1,700 employees will be employed, and after the completion 1,300 new workers will get job. This will make the city with modern infrastructure attractive for investment” Dedeic said.
Moreover, he added that the gas pipeline from Bijeljina to Banja Luka through the territory of the district is to be included in the implementation of the project, providing cheaper heating energy and big financial savings.
He added that all political actors in Brcko agree and that they are committed to launch an investment cycle in the district.
