Franjo Komarica, Bishop of Banja Luka, spoke with the newly elected Mufti of Banja Luka Nusret ef. Abdibegovic, who expressed his willingness to cooperate on building a positive atmosphere among the citizens of Banja Luka.
During their meeting on Friday, Abdibegovic expressed gratitude to the bishop for consistently advocating for all the disempowered people in BiH and for the various assistance that he and his associates provided during the war and in the war-time also to numerous Muslims.
He stressed that the bishop enjoys great respect among Muslim believers all over Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Mons. Komarica thanked to Abdibegovic for coming to the Banja Luka and expressed the desire for constructive co-operation with him for peaceful and secure future of all the people of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Recalling the good co-operation during and after the war and helping people in their various troubles and needs, Bishop Komarica expressed the hope that this cooperation will continue to intensify in the future.
He expressed the wish for the Interreligious Council in Banja Luka to be more active, similarly to Sarajevo, what the bishop warmly welcomed.
