Based on a three-year lease agreement on all nine Talgo sets to ‘Railways of the Republic of Turkey’, ‘Railways FB&H’ will earn 27 million BAM, said Enver Bijedić, FB&H Minister of Transport and Communications. He worked on the realization of the agreement with Turkey.
The Minister said that the agreement with Turkey, which is supported by the FB&H government, is in the final stages and will soon be officially signed. For the purchase of nine Talgo sets for the ‘Railways FB&H’ in 2009, a loan agreement was signed with the government of Spain worth 66,7 million Euros (around 130 million BAM). The first Talgo trains in B&H arrived in 2010 and since then are found ‘parked’ on the tracks of ‘Railways FB&H’.
These are nine coaches that have 237 day sets and 186 night sets. The trains have TV’s, Internet and showers.
