The association APOHA and XY will organize many activities in Sarajevo and Banja Luka on 1 December 2013 to mark World AIDS Day with the motto The Goal is zero.
The activities related to World AIDS day will start in Banja Luka on Friday, 29 November 2013 at the premisses of the electrical engineering high school, where peer educators of XY will implement educative presentations on the topic of HIV/AIDS prevention for the students of this school.
Peer educators and staff of APOHA and XY together with students of the Medical University of Sarajevo will distribute informative-educational materials, condoms and etc, on Sunday, the 1st December 2013(World AIDS Day), in Sarajevo (at Children Square) and in Banja Luka (at Krajina Square), from 11:30 to 14:00.
The peer educators of XY will continue with the presentations on HIV/AIDS prevention at the electrical high school in Banja Luka on Monday, 2 December 2013 at 12:30.
In addition, citizen will have the opportunity to give affirmative messages to the citizens and especially those who have HIV in order to contribute to the de-stigmatization and reduction of discrimination towards people living with HIV in B&H, as well as to have an impact on B&H citizens on the importance of the prevention and education on HIV. The support messages will be displayed on the symbolic red tape, known as red ribbon, a symbol of constant struggle against AIDS.
