A Child drowned in the Hotel Pool in Sarajevo

In the afternoon, a big tragedy occurred in the Sarajevo municipality of Ilidža, when a child drowned in the pool of a hotel.

This information was confirmed by the spokeswoman of the Ministry of Interior (MUP) of Sarajevo Canton, Mersiha Novalić.

“At 3:30 p.m., the Ilidža Police Department was informed that a child had died in the swimming pool of a hotel in the municipality of Ilidža. The death was confirmed by a doctor from the Institute for Emergency Medical Assistance at 4:40 p.m.,” Novalić said.

The investigation is led by the prosecutor of the cantonal prosecutor’s office, and it is carried out by members of the KS MUP. More will be known about the circumstances of the minor’s drowning after the investigation is completed.
