A Contestant from Sarajevo voluntarily left MasterChef: “I want to go Home, my Children need me”

In the stress test for advancing to the top 14 in MasterChef, five contestants competed to replicate a dish prepared by Chef Stjepan Vukadin.

Fighting to stay in the competition were Josip Petrovic, Elva Halilovic, Moris Varesko, Bonaventura Zagar, and Ivo Kezic, who did not cook as he secured his spot in the first phase of the stress test.

As the contestants tried to replicate the complex dish, chaos in the kitchen was inevitable, a fact clearly noted by Chef Stjepan.

After the challenging stress test, Elva managed to present all components of the dish, while Josip failed to complete two key elements, making it seem certain he would be the one to leave the competition.

However, Elva surprised everyone with her decision to withdraw in order to dedicate herself to her children, giving Josip another chance to prove himself.

At the moment when the decision for Josip’s elimination had already been made, Elva stunned everyone present with her brave statement.

“I would like to ask you to listen to me, regardless of the fact that my plate was slightly better than Josip’s. It was an honor and a pleasure to reach the top 15. I will try not to be emotional. I love cooking very much; it is my great passion. But my first love is my children. I want to go home because I know they miss me,” she said, Klix.ba writes.
