A Convoy of Trucks with Humanitarian Aid for Turkey and Syria left from BiH

A convoy of tow trucks with humanitarian aid left Tuzla for Turkey and Syria yesterday. It is a joint humanitarian action of Riyasat of the Islamic Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), the Muslim Charity Society Merhamet, and the good people from BiH, with the aim of helping the survivors of the devastating earthquake.

“Most of the goods that were packed were those that the Turkish and Syrian people desperately need. I am glad that people from the Tuzla Mufti’s office responded in large numbers, as well as a large number of drivers who gave their trucks. I am glad that we are all one and together we will continue to help and be of service to our brothers and sisters who live in Turkey and Syria,” said the president of the Muslim Charitable Society Merhamet, Kenan Vrbanjac.

The convoy of humanitarian aid from the Customs Terminal in Tuzla was also escorted by the Mufti of Tuzla, Vahid Effendi Fazlovic, who pointed out that it was a line of aid that the Islamic Community in BiH was working on at the time of the devastating earthquake. He stated that it was a modest help, which was prepared from the big hearts of good people.

“I want to express my words of blessing and wish that this help reaches those for whom it is intended and that the way is made easier for all the teams that will accompany the transport. This is an opportunity to thank all our congregation members, imams, and all good people for their generous help, as evidenced by the imposing convoy,” said Fazlovic.

Yesterday, Asmir Imamovic, who volunteered to transport humanitarian aid, set out on a journey approximately two thousand kilometers long. His company offered two tow trucks with two drivers.

“I have traveled all over Europe, but I have never been to Turkey. Now there is an opportunity for me to go on that journey, which is quite long. I hope that everything will go well. In BiH, we went through a period of war in which many people died, now we sympathize with our friends from Turkey and wish them to recover from this disaster as soon as possible,” Imamovic stated, Klix.ba reports.
