Chair of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Borjana Krišto, spoke today in Sarajevo with the UN Resident Coordinator in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ingrid Macdonald, about the continuation and enhancement of cooperation.

Krišto informed Macdonald about the work priorities of the BiH Council of Ministers. She expressed her gratitude to the United Nations and agencies operating in Bosnia and Herzegovina for their continuous support of our country. She stressed that the Council of Ministers of BiH remains open to cooperation with UN agencies through the UN Cooperation Framework for Sustainable Development and is permanently dedicated to achieving sustainable development goals.

Krišto pointed out that she sees the United Nations as a true partner who will help improve our society, especially the most vulnerable categories of the population.

They discussed four strategic focus areas that respond to the needs of the citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina and use the advantages of the UN. In connection with this, the interlocutors exchanged opinions on the intensification of cooperation between the institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the UN on strengthening the rule of law, sustainable and uniform development and employment, social inclusion through education, social and child care and health care, and the empowerment of women in BiH society.
