A Member of the Scorpions at the Marking of the Day of the Municipality of Srebrenica

Commenting on the presence of the convicted war criminal at the solemn session of the municipality, the President of the Municipal Board of the Party of Democratic Action, Alija Tabakovic, said that he expected a public apology.

“Denial of war crimes and criminals is a humiliation for us, and if it turns out that he came at the invitation of the mayor, we expect a public apology. All those who support such persons are ready to commit a new crime,” Tabakovic said at a press conference by the leaders of the “My Address Srebrenica” Initiative.

He emphasized that he expects the current president of the Municipal Assembly, Salko Tursunovic, to clearly and unequivocally distance himself from those who called on convicted war criminals.

“Since he chaired that session, we demand from Tursunovic to condemn those who brought that war criminal,” Tabakovic pointed out.

A member of the Scorpions unit, Sasa Cvjetan, convicted of war crimes in Kosovo, was a “VIP” guest at the Srebrenica Municipality Day celebrations on March 11 at the Srebrenica Cultural Center.

In July 1995, the Scorpions were one of the units whose members killed captured Srebrenica residents in front of the cameras, Fena writes.
