A new round of dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina at the level of the main negotiators will be held tomorrow in Brussels, announced the spokesperson of the European Union, Peter Stano.

He emphasized that the priority and agenda is determined by the greatest urgency of the beginning of the implementation of the agreement on the way to the normalization of relations between Belgrade and Pristina.

When asked whether the fact that the five EU member states do not recognize the independence of Kosovo is in accordance with the goal of the Agreement on the Normalization of Relations, Stano emphasized that the goal of the dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina is the normalization of relations and that the EU has been given the task of working on this as a mediator. to help make it happen.

“There is no recognition there, but, of course, the logical consequence of normalization would be recognition. But that is something much later in the process,” said Stano.

He reiterated that the mandate of the EU within the dialogue is to work on providing assistance to Belgrade and Pristina to normalize relations.
